Automation

Automate civil process service in a streamlined environment.

Entry Wizard

An intuitive wizard guides users through the steps involved in entering new civil processes.

Efficient Data Entry

Known data such as names, addresses, and telephone numbers are automatically populated into civil process records.

Cloning

Speed data entry when a stack of similar civil processes is received by cloning one and re-entering only the data that has changed.

Multiple Civil Paper Types

Can be recorded in one civil paper record, and the list of paper types is agency-configurable.

Unlimited Names

Unlimited names such as plaintiffs, defendants, received from, and “serve on” parties can be entered on a civil process record.

Service Deadline Calculation

Deadlines for civil process service are automatically calculated, and users can easily access a list of civil processes about to expire to prioritize order of service.

Service Attempt Tracking

Log multiple attempts to serve a civil process, including outcome, comments, mileage, and more.

Audit Trail

An automatically generated audit trail tracks all activity related to the service of each civil process.

Custom Sheriff’s Returns

Agencies create as many return types as needed for each type of civil process and manner of service. When a civil process is successfully served or marked as unservable, the system automatically generates the appropriate return.

Tight Integration

Integrations with Zuercher Suite's Financial software allows agencies to track the financial side of civil process service from beginning to end.

Invoices

Configure standard fee types/amounts to be automatically added depending on the type of civil process. Fees can be set for automatic addition upon the completion of a civil process, or automatically removed if the civil process is returned as unservable.

Receipts and Customer Statements

Receipts and customer statements can be generated easily, and the printouts--designed to show the customer’s name and address in a standard window envelope--are ready to mail.

Links to Related Records

Links to related records allow agencies to track civil process funds from an invoice to a payment receipt to a deposit to a disbursement, to see where every penny is at any given moment.

Automatic Calculations

Automatic calculations of interest, commissions, and mileage charges saves time and guesswork and eliminates error.

Mobile Access

Access Civil data using Zuercher Mobile to give civil deputies up-to-date information anytime.

Zuercher Civil automates civil process services in a streamlined environment that enables users to serve civil papers, executions, distress warrants, and foreclosures in a timely, efficient manner.

The software's intuitive wizard guides users through the necessary steps to add new civil processes. It allows  them to assign multiple paper types to a single civil  record as well as add unlimited plaintiffs, defendants,  received from and serve on names to any civil process. Known data populates automatically to speed data entry, and a cloning feature saves time when there are multiple similar civil processes to be served.

With Zuercher Civil, agencies can log multiple service attempts including outcome, comments, and mileage, while the system keeps a full audit trail. Set up as many custom sheriff’s returns as needed for each type of civil process and manner of service; the system’s business logic generates the appropriate return when someone successfully serves the civil process or marks it as un-servable. Sheriff’s return printouts and other automatically generated letters are professional-looking and ready to be mailed.

The main display’s list of open civil processes provides key details at a glance, such as balances and number of days remaining until expiration.

The software coordinates with Zuercher Financial, enabling agencies to create invoices, add fees, record payments, generate receipts and statements, and monitor balances, following the financial side of each civil process all the way through to the disbursement of funds. In order to save time and eliminate error, mileage charges, interest, and commissions are automatically calculated.
