Walsh County (ND) Sheriff’s Office, Grafton Police Department, and Walsh County Communications have chosen Zuercher Technologies’ ledsSuite system for a multi-agency public safety software solution. Together, the three agencies will use ledsSuite for CAD, Mapping, RMS, Jail, Civil, Financial, Administration, Reporting, and Mobile CAD and RMS.
Walsh County, located in northeastern North Dakota, is home to a population of approximately 12,000. The Walsh County Sheriff's Office and Grafton Police Department are colocated in the county seat of Grafton along with Walsh County Communications, which provides dispatch services for local law enforcement, fire, and EMS.
According to Walsh County Emergency Manager and 911 Coordinator Brent Nelson, key factors in choosing the ledsSuite system were the easier record retrieval and improved statistics generation it offers. "We were looking for a system to help us track our information, and in a more user-friendly manner. We hope and believe ledsSuite will help us with that," said Nelson.
The agencies anticipate that ledsSuite will bring an efficiency gain by providing expanded functionality such as Jail, Civil, and especially CAD modules that are tightly integrated with their RMS. "We're hoping it will make the dispatch center a little more efficient and effective in tracking and assigning people to the proper incidents. It looks like it will be easy to operate and provide us more flexibility."
Walsh County’s complete, multi-agency system marks the first implementation of the ledsSuite system in North Dakota. "ledsSuite has met with extremely positive results in states neighboring North Dakota,” said Zuercher Technologies President Michael Zuercher. The system is scheduled for installation in 2011.
