The Moody County Sheriff’s Office and Flandreau Police Department of South Dakota have announced the selection of the Zuercher Technologies’ public safety software suite to upgrade their current systems.

The agencies will be sharing a multi-jurisdictional installation including computer-aided dispatch (CAD), records management, civil process tracking, reports, and mobile access to records.  Having all of these products using the same database will allow the agencies to share data more efficiently, something which was not possible with their previous systems.

The new computer-aided dispatch software will benefit the agencies significantly since they do not currently have an integrated CAD system.  Dispatchers will be able to log calls more effectively and assign units faster.  The agencies provide contracted services for several neighboring communities, as well as the Flandreau Santee Sioux Tribe, and the new Zuercher system will make selecting the appropriate responders for calls for service much easier.

The addition of mobile records will allow officers in the field to directly input, manage and complete case reports from within their vehicles, adding significant time savings.
