After an extensive search process, the St. Louis Park Police Department of Minnesota has selected the ledsSuite public safety software solution from Zuercher Technologies to meet its current and future technology needs.  

The St. Louis Park Police Department, which is located in the greater Minneapolis area, was at a crossroads with its software vendor. The software was not fully functional, contractual obligations had not been met, and the solution was too generic to meet the specific needs of the agency. When the service agreement came up for renewal the agency decided to explore alternate solutions.  

The selection of a new vendor and software system was based on several criteria. The first determined that a generic solution was not going to meet the specific policy and functional needs of the St. Louis Park Police Department, so the new system would need to provide the agency with extensive configuration capabilities. The agency also required a wide variety of support and maintenance services to be included which would eliminate the need for additional IT resources. The last key item was price. 

After interviewing several vendors, doing several reference checks and site visits, and observing thorough demonstrations of vendors’ solutions, Zuercher Technologies and its ledsSuite solution quickly rose to the top and was ultimately the solution selected by the agency.   

The installation includes computer-aided dispatch, mapping, records management, jail management, and mobile access. The project also includes several unique interfaces to local, state and national systems, as well data conversion from the legacy system. In addition to these products and services, Zuercher Technologies will provide the St. Louis Park Police Department with the new ledsSuite e-Citations solution. The e-Citation solution will enable patrol officers to electronically write, submit, and print citations in patrol cars and will integrate with the State of Minnesota Courts database.
