PowerPhone’s Computer Aided Call Handling System Goes Live in Union Co. and Pierre, S.D.

MADISON, CT – PowerPhone, Inc., a leading provider of 911 dispatcher training and technology, announced that their revolutionary, patented Computer Aided Call Handling (CACH®) software has gone live in both Union County and Pierre, South Dakota.  

Positioned at the start of the dispatch process, CACH delivers fully integrated police, fire and emergency medical dispatch protocols and pre-arrival instructions and is the first emergency call handling software to automate the questioning and information gathering process on absolutely any call. Each question asked and response given is scored with a weighted dispatch priority to objectively determine the appropriate responder skills required at the scene and their corresponding priorities. PowerPhone’s CACH is designed to simplify and standardize the 911 information gathering process and will no doubt bring previously unimagined insight and consistency to emergency call taking in Union County and Pierre.   

The new system will also allow for better response prioritization and resource allocation thanks to its successful interface with Zuercher Technologies’ ledsCAD (Computer-Aided Dispatch) system. With the connection to ledsCAD, CACH is able to pass objective response recommendations on to the dispatcher, as well as append specific call details directly to the incident record. This integration will allow 911 call takers to gather and relay scene-specific information to responders prior to their arrival, helping to better ensure both victim and responder safety. The integrated solution is designed to help the 911 agencies streamline their call taking and dispatch functions, resulting in a more efficient delivery of emergency services.
