The Huron Police Department of South Dakota has selected ledsSuite from Zuercher Technologies as their new dispatch and records management software.
 

The department has purchased several of the integrated parts of ledsSuite for computer-aided dispatching, mapping, managing records, administrative tracking, and statistical reporting. The logical flow of data among the modules was part of the reason the software was an ideal fit. The department dispatches for all of Beadle county, as well as the neighboring counties of Hand, Jerauld, and Kingsburry, so reducing the amount of redundant data entry and the number of applications being used was important.
 

With the ledsSuite software, mobile units can access the computer-aided dispatch system and map, as well as records such as cases and warrants.  Having access to the system in their vehicles speeds up response times to calls, increases officer safety and efficiency, and simplifies the case report submission process.
 

ledsSuite was also selected because it allows the Huron Police Department to participate in the South Dakota statewide data sharing initiative ConnectSD.  Zuercher Technologies is currently the only vendor that offers data submissions to the program free of charge.
