The Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office and Windom Police Department of Minnesota have selected ledsSuite from Zuercher Technologies to upgrade its public safety software.  
 

The installation includes computer-aided dispatch, civil process tracking, jail management, records management, mobile  computer-aided dispatch and records, eCitations, custom reporting, and a web-based portal.  Because all of these products are one application, information in one product is readily available in the others.  This significantly reduces duplicate data entry and increases efficiency.  Both agencies will also have the capability to share data with each other, as well as with their sister agency, the Mt. Lake Police Department.
 

A determining factor for the agencies was Zuercher Technologies’ experience with data conversion.  The company has developed several proprietary data conversion tools that allow it to offer conversion services to clients at a fraction of the cost of many other vendors in the public safety software industry.  With several years of legacy data, the agencies wanted to ensure that the new system would include all of the legacy data so that users did not have to search multiple systems.
 

These agencies will also be taking advantage of Zuercher Technologies’ ConnectRDS, an N-DEx-based regional data sharing system.  Included free of charge to all of the company’s clients in the state of Minnesota, ConnectRDS will allow the agencies to share arrest and booking data through a state-wide portal solution.  Participating agencies will also be able to reference data submitted by other client agencies to assist with investigations and linking crimes across jurisdictional lines.
