The Beresford Police Department of South Dakota has selected ledsSuite public safety software from Zuercher Technologies to upgrade their current records management system.
The Beresford Police Department was using an in-house records system which had limited capabilities that kept officers from accessing the system from outside the office. They wanted to find a new solution that was tailored specifically to their law enforcement needs and that allowed them access from laptops in their vehicles. ledsSuite not only met these needs, but allows them to immediately contribute to the state NIBRS (National Incident Based Reporting) repository, as well as the state data sharing initiative ConnectSD at no extra cost.
Another important factor was that many surrounding agencies were already using the ledsSuite system, and the Union County Sheriff’s Office agreed to let them run off of their existing ledsSuite server. Because ledsSuite allows multiple agency deployments on a single server and offers hundreds of configurable levels of inter-agency information sharing, it was an ideal fit.
"Our company has been serving South Dakota public safety agencies for more than ten years now and we have a deep knowledge of state specific needs,” stated David Jones Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Zuercher Technologies. "We are excited that we can continue to use that knowledge to help agencies like the Beresford Police Department become more efficient.”
