Zuercher Technologies, a leader in the public safety software industry, is pleased to announce that the Poweshiek County Sheriff’s Office and Grinnell Police Department of Iowa have chosen to upgrade their public safety software with a new shared system.

The two central Iowa agencies serve an area with approximately 18,000 residents, which includes a college campus with an additional 1,600 students. The sheriff’s office and police department selected Zuercher Suite software to replace outdated software systems. 

The installation will include computer-aided dispatch, mapping, records management, mobile CAD and records, jail management, civil process tracking, administration, and reporting software. Zuercher Suite is known in the industry for its seamless system where all products are one application, with one shared database, provided by just one vendor.

The Grinnell Police Department and Poweshiek County Sheriff’s Office selected the integrated software for their combined software system because of its ease of use and records sharing capabilities. Zuercher Technologies also offered unique interfaces to Iowa-specific data reporting systems, including Iowa’s state crash, accident, and reporting system (TraCS) and Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) system.
